TabTrade.com - Is It Worth Opening an Account
The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is broad.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
